Inspired after a 'WOW' day on the fells with my daughter in January. It was minus 11, the fells were covered in snow and she was due to go back to University in the next few days. Helvellyn is one of her favourite fells so I decided to take the day off work and we headed to Wythburn where we started our walk. Conditions were stunning, we even met the Fell Top Assessor on our way up. He said 'hello' and commented on 'another day in paradise'. It definitely was! This is the view of Steel Fell from the forest track that you reach after a short, steep walk from the car park. The trees are painted using a metallic paint so they shimmer when the light catches them.
This painting measures 36x24x1.5". The image continues around the sides and there are D rings and string on the back so it's ready to hang on the wall. A coat of varnish is applied for protection.
Thank you for looking at my work.
